Pickling cucumbers
2-3 clumps fresh dill
1 3/4 C canning salt
1-2 cloves garlic
2 ½ C cider vinegar
½ tsp alum
2 little red hot cherry peppers
10 qts water
In each qt. jar place pickling cucumbers. With the cucumbers put garlic, red hot cherry peppers and fresh dill, in the amounts given, in each jar. Mix and heat to boiling the vinegar, water, salt and alum. Pour into jars over the cucumbers and all the other above mentioned ingredients. Seal jar in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
